Each year, the Board of Supervisors and County’s Youth Commission recognize local young people through the Outstanding Youth Award Educational Scholarship program. Students who lives in York County and are enrolled in grades 9-12 at a public, private, or homeschool are eligible and may be nominated by anyone (adult, teenager, group or organization). There are four award categories: Courage, Compassion, Community Service, and Overall Achievement. Individuals chosen will each receive $1,000 for post-secondary college or trade school and are recognized at a Board of Supervisors’ meeting. Complete details are available on the nomination form. Submission deadline is February 17.
