City partners with Denbigh Lions Club to host the oldest continuously held event in Newport News
Come out for a celebration of unique neighborhoods and communities during the 62nd Annual Denbigh Day Parade and Festival on Saturday, Sept. 17. The City of Newport News is partnering with the Denbigh Lions Club to host a day of family fun and entertainment for guests of all ages.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Denbigh High School (259 Denbigh Boulevard). The parade route spans approximately one mile down Denbigh Boulevard and Old Courthouse Way, passing by the viewing stand and festival grounds at Courthouse Way Community Center (14302 Old Courthouse Way), and culminating at Sherwood Shopping Center (13771 Warwick Boulevard).
The Denbigh Day Festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Courthouse Way Community Center (14302 Old Courthouse Way). Festival activities include arts and crafts, children’s train rides, a petting zoo, games, educational displays, food vendors, and more. Enjoy live music from MsConduct at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
