Visitors to the waterfront in the next few weeks may notice something missing…the statues of Washington, Comte de Grasse, Lafayette, and Rochambeau are being removed temporarily for refurbishing and repainting.
As the most recent addition to the installation, Rochambeau has not experienced the effects that weather can have on the materials used to make these statues, so he doesn’t quite match the other three.
Artist Cyd Player will perform the work that should take approximately three weeks following their removal. Look for their return on your next visit to Riverwalk Landing.
