First Responders Market
Saturday, October 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
It’s a morning dedicated to firefighters, sheriff’s deputies, 911 & emergency communications dispatchers, public works officials and other first responders who keep the community safe. Citizens are invited to stop by to let them know how much they are appreciated! Participating vendors and artists will be providing discounts to first responders who show up to shop the market that day.
Several emergency vehicles and officials will be on site to educate and answer questions. York County Fire & Life Safety will bring its ladder truck! The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office will also have a patrol car, crime prevention trailer, DARE tent, motorcycles and K-9 unit. Public Works’ large Vactor Truck, used to handle large-scale liquid and sludge clean-up in emergency situations, also plans to be on site. Don’t miss this special opportunity to say “thank you” and “we appreciate you.”
