This week, York County posted signage at two sites to inform the public of upcoming work. In the upper County, work will soon begin on renovating an existing facility that will become Fire Station 7. The building on Mooretown Road once housed Crossroads Community Youth Home and will now provide fire and EMS services to residents and visitors of York County, and through mutual aid to James City and Williamsburg. In the lower County, signage was installed at the site of the future Law Enforcement Building on Goodwin Neck Road. This new facility will be under construction later this fall and will be over 50,000 square feet of space for the Sheriff’s Office, including squad and interview rooms, evidence storage space, expanded office space, a large meeting room, and more. We will post updates on the York County website and Facebook page throughout construction of these facilities.
