Parks and Recreation has great summer programs for kindergartners up to sixth grade! Summer Art Camps are for grades 1 through 6 and held at Tabb Middle School: 3D Structure and Sculpture, June 21-24; 2D Studio Drawing and Painting, July 26-29, and Entwined: Fabric and Fiber, August 9-12. Registration ends June 11. Field Trip Fever complements the Summer Fun Camp and is also open to children grades 1 through 6. This fully supervised program is held at Coventry, Grafton Bethel, and Magruder elementary schools and is two sessions: Fridays, July 2-30 (registration ends June 18) and Monday-Friday, August 2-6 (registration ends July 16). This year’s “Safety Town” is a LIVE Webinar featuring safety lessons for pre-kindergartners. The mini-town returns to teach traffic and pedestrian safety in person at York Middle School. After registering your child for the program, you can pick your time slot for your child to “ride the town.” Registration begins Monday, May 24, for County residents and Tuesday, June 1, for residents of other localities. For more information about all these programs, or to register, visit Parks and Recreation’s website.
