On the Hill Gallery is thrilled to announce a solo art exhibit by Gloria Coker April 3-30.
Gloria Coker is a renowned Hampton Roads painter with works spanning genres of music, dance, landscapes and dynamic figures. She paints motion in vibrant colors, creating paintings full of life and energy. The show is aptly named “Color + Motion = Coker.”
Coker has painted well-known series of works for the Virginia Symphony and the Buffalo Philharmonic under the leadership of JoAnn Falletta. Her award-winning work is included in numerous collections and galleries around the country. Her paintings have been made into commercial posters for Norfolk’s Harborfest and Hampton Bay Days. This exhibit will represent Gloria Coker’s current work which will be available for sale at the On the Hill Gallery reception
April 3rd and the rest of the month during regular gallery hours, Sundays, 12-5pm; Tuesday-Saturday, 11-5 pm.

The Yorktown Arts Foundation was established in 1975 with the mission to promote an appreciation of the arts in the York County area. It provides a venue for art sales by local artists, art education, art outreach and the promotion of participation in visual arts. Since its establishment, the Yorktown Arts Foundation has operated an art center and On the Hill Gallery to carry out its mission.
