SUFFOLK, VA Are you looking for an exciting and challenging summer job? Suffolk Parks & Recreation is offering a FREE Lifeguard Certification Class with the chance to work at our outdoor Cypress Park Pool in the summer of 2021 as a Lifeguard I. Lifeguard I candidates will be certified by an American Red Cross Instructor. Classes and the opportunity to apply for a Lifeguard position are available to candidates ages 16 and up; no experience required.
There are two certification sessions available. The first is February 12th to 15, 2021. The class on February 12th will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 13th through 15th. For current high school students interested in attending, February 15th is President’s Day Holiday and there will be no virtual school for students (ref: https://www.spsk12.net/calendar).
The second session will be April 5th to 8, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
